For co-founder and partner Jon Freeland, the real satisfaction in his work comes from seeing that the business owners reap the reward for their efforts and investment. Raised on a farm in North Dakota, Jon employs the values he learned on the farm: persistence, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and an appreciation of the human component. These core values have enabled Jon to succeed throughout his career.

In the world of mergers and acquisitions, Jon has experience both as company owner/manager and as an advisor. He has initiated and completed transactions with privately held companies in a broad array of industries, with values typically ranging from $2 to $30 million. He has participated in making over 25 seed-stage investments. In addition, he has helped numerous companies divest of non-core assets, make strategic corporate acquisitions, and acquire targeted technologies/platforms etc. Jon's experience with closely-held private companies makes him an invaluable asset for company owners seeking either an exit strategy or to grow by acquisition.

Jon has over fifteen years experience as a small business owner, corporate finance professional, and sales and marketing consultant for high technology and manufacturing companies. Jon's approach is no-nonsense, straightforward, honest, and relationship-based.

Jon earned both his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and his MBA from the University of North Dakota.
