The Real Deal - Our Clients' Success
Early 2006, I was introduced to Ivar Sorensen and Jon Freeland of The M&A Group, by one of their existing clients who gave me very good feedback on their performances during mergers and acquisition processes. At that time I had already worked with two different consultants with no satisfactory results. It became clear that what I needed was a group that could support me with the negotiations during a process that for a founder of a company is quite emotional. The preparation work was virtually entirely done by The M&A Group which allowed management of D-TARGET to continue the business while potential parties were contacted and evaluated without much interference with daily business. Throughout the process I appreciated the fact that my personal objectives were fully translated in the share purchase agreement, i.e. short earn-out which finally ended up at six months, open long-term commitment of collaboration, and a few other logistical points that were implemented to my entire satisfaction. The Share Purchase Agreement was finalized and implemented on 13th of July 2007 which in all was a very short process given the fact we started in February. I must praise the negotiation skills of Ivar Sorensen, the work of The M&A Group as a whole to prepare the documentation, the continuous support based on extensive experience during due diligence and share purchase agreement negotiations, as well as the excellent collaboration with the legal team involved. Without all this I would not have survived the process. I can highly recommend The M&A Group to anybody who wants to embark on a merger and acquisition process.
